Recipe Ideas

Lemon & Lime Curd.

  • place a teaspoon full in the middle of your favourite muffin recipe before cooking.
  • stir into cheesecake filling.
  • use as a filling for tart cases and top with whipped cream.
  • use with natural yoghurt on cereals.
  • delicious spread on pikelets, scones or toast.

Minty Lime Vinaigrette.

  • pour on hot new potatoes or pasta as a quick salad.
  • pour on winter roasted vegetables.
  • marinate a leg of lamb overnight in vinaigrette, sprinkle with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Cook slowly until tender.
  • use on your favourite lettuce and top with Pips Kitchen Toasted Seeds & Nuts.

Capsicum Jelly.

  • great on cheese and crackers.
  • melt in a microwave and use as a glaze (be careful not to burn).
  • try using in casseroles. When deglazing the pan after browning the meat, add a teaspoon full with wine or water. Pour on top of the meat and add the rest of the ingredients. Yummy!
  • use in toasted sandwiches or on pizza.

Mint & Pistachio Pesto.

  • stir into hot pasta.
  • add to soup or as a garnish for soup.
  • mix with sour cream/cream cheese for a dip or a spread.

Toasted Seeds & Nuts.

  • a healthy snack on their own or add chopped dried fruit.
  • throw onto pizza or in salads.

Tapenade.

  • stir into hot linguine or penne pasta.
  • combine with sour cream or cream cheese to create a more subtle spread or dip.
  • mix with butter, chill and use to top roast meats or seafood.

Fiery Capsicum Relish.

  • spread on pizza or crostini.
  • try stuffed into chicken breasts.
  • delicious served with grilled steak.

Apricot & Date Chutney.

  • fantastic with cheese and crackers.
  • a perfect companion for meat or chicken.
